We are a traditional yet modern free-house and restaurant situated on the edge of the beautiful Forest of Dean and close to the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We are passionate about good food and use locally sourced and seasonal produce wherever possible.
We also have a good range of cask ales, lagers, ciders and wines.
Our relaxing bar and restaurant areas feature oak beams and a log fire. For the summer months we also have a large sunny beer garden.
A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at The Globe Inn, Alvington.
The Globe has been an integral part of Alvington village life since the 18th century.
Now a grade II listed building, it was first used as a coaching inn and later a hotel. In the early part of the 21st century the building became unused and fell into disrepair before a group of local people purchased the property in 2012. The building then underwent a complete renovation and re-opened in 2014. The Globe Inn is now a modern pub and restaurant but has retained its traditional charm.
